Phillips 66® Aviation FBOs Rated Top 20% Include Hangar 10, Texas Jet, Jet Aviation Palm Beach, Business Jet Center Dallas, Jet Aviation Houston, Million Air Indianapolis
MIDLAND PARK, N.J., April, 2013 – For the second time in three years, J.A. Air Center at Aurora Municipal Airport (KARR) near Chicago has taken top honors in the Aviation International News' FBO Survey 2013.
Ninth on the list of best-rated FBOs stands Hangar 10, at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (KMKC) in Kansas City.
Both Phillips 66® Aviation-branded FBOs have only been open a few years; in fact, Hangar 10 operated out of a trailer up until late 2010, yet succeeded in placing fifth in AIN's 2011 survey. J.A. Air and Hangar 10 are becoming perennial favorites among survey respondents.
J.A. Air Center led all FBOs with a near-perfect 9.8 rating for its stylish and sprawling facilities. Overall, the Chicagoland FBO – known for its signature 20,000 square-foot arrival and departure canopy – scored 9.5 to top the survey.
Several other Phillips 66® Aviation-branded dealers won the hearts of AIN readers.
Texas Jet, at Meacham International Airport (KFTW) in Ft. Worth, and Jet Aviation-Palm Beach, at Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI), rounded out the top 10 percent of all North American FBOs for the second year in a row.
And Texas Jet's popular customer service manager Holly Hopkins was recognized by AIN survey respondents for "Above and Beyond" service – as was Shalene England with J.A. Air Center.
High ratings also put three other Phillips 66 Aviation-branded dealers in the top 20 percent of all FBOs: Business Jet Center, serving Dallas Love Field (KDAL), Jet Aviation-Houston, at Houston's William P. Hobby Airport (KHOU), and Million Air-Indianapolis, at Indianapolis International Airport (KIND).
Earning top 30 percent ratings was National Jets, Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (KFLL), Cutter Aviation-Phoenix, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX), Jet Aviation-Teterboro, Teterboro Airport (KTEB), and TAC Air-Omaha, Omaha Airport Authority (KOMA).
"We congratulate all our FBOs who have won over the hearts and minds of their customers through outstanding customer service models," says Rosemary Leone, Director, Programs, General Aviation, Phillips 66. "We are very proud to have them represent Phillips 66 Aviation."
This year marked the first time in the survey's 32-year run that AIN included 4,040 worldwide FBOs from Ac-U-Kwik's comprehensive list.
AIN's annual FBO survey has long been considered a benchmark for FBO performance. Users are asked to rate line service, passenger amenities, pilot services, and facilities.
