HOUSTON, April 26, 2023 – Keith Clark of Phillips 66® Aviation—a national top supplier of jet fuels and avgas to private, commercial and military aviation—was awarded The Elvis “Mac” Fishburn Fellow Award by the National Petroleum Management Association (NPMA) at its annual conference, PETRO in Washington, D.C. on March 29.
The National Petroleum Management Association is a non-profit education and professional membership organization dedicated to providing professional status for qualified fuel handlers. The Elvis “Mac” Fishburn Fellow Award is presented for outstanding contributions to and support of the fuel handler.
“Keith’s passion for fuel quality and misfuelling is unrivaled in this industry,” said Steve Berry, Managing Director of Safety and Training for the National Air Transportation Association. “This award is given for contributions to and tireless support of fuel handlers worldwide and I can think of no one more deserving than Keith.”
Serving more than 40 years at Phillips 66 Aviation, Clark is currently a QC & Technical Support Representative in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Among his many tasks and accomplishments over the course of his professional history, Clark has spearheaded the “Save a Life, Verify Fuel Type” campaign as well as multiple training courses on misfueling prevention and the importance of communication between pilots and FBOs.
“I am beyond honored to receive this award and want to thank the NPMA for highlighting the importance of proper fuel handling,” Clark said. “My hope is that my commitment to educating my colleagues, customers and business partners inspires the next generation of industry leaders to understand the significance of fuel quality training and the difference an enthusiastic attitude can make.”
