Phillips 66 Funds NBAA Scholarships for Flight Scheduler/Dispatcher Education

TAMPA, Fla. – At the opening session of the 2016 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference at the Tampa Convention Center, a total of $44,500 in monetary scholarships were awarded to nine people seeking to advance their aviation careers through continuing education. Phillips 66® Aviation – exhibiting at the S&D conference with 20 of its branded FBOs – was on hand for the awards ceremony, providing a $5,000 donation to NBAA's Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship Fund.

NBAA S&D Scholarship Fund monetary award winners receive up to $10,000 to pursue professional development through education and training. Both current and aspiring schedulers and dispatchers are eligible to apply for the cash grants.

"We're passionate about powering the next generation of aviation," said Kimberly Ruth, director, programs development for general aviation, Phillips 66. "Winners of the NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Scholarship gain a great opportunity to further their career and proficiencies. That, in turn, enhances the professionalism of the entire industry."

Since 1997 when the program began, the NBAA S&D Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $620,000 to individuals for professional development.
