STRATFORD, Conn. –Phillips 66® Aviation is pleased to announce its added Volo Aviation to its FBO network. Headquartered at the Sikorsky Memorial Airport (BDR), the location boasts 40,000 square feet of hangar space, and manages approximately 30 flights per day. Volo Aviation is looking to strengthen its position as part of the branded Phillips 66 community, with its focus on providing customer-focused service and brand new fuel trucks.
“We’re so pleased that Volo Aviation has decided to come on board with Phillips 66 Aviation,” said Steve Bajema, general aviation account manager. “The FBO’s national presence and excellent reputation is a great addition to our growing network.”
“Major benefits were realized in becoming a Phillips 66 branded FBO, including access to direct operating costs, fuel procurement access to preferred supplier pricing and aviation insurance,” said Brian Ciambra, senior vice president, Volo Aviation. “We’re also pleased to be able to supplement our safety training and fuel quality control programs with Phillips 66’s offerings.”
Since its inception, Volo Aviation has focused its efforts on efficiency, safety, revenue creation, and active community involvement. To date, approximately 100 employees comprise the Volo Aviation family.
Volunteers from Volo’s BDR location recently completed a “Down and Dirty” 5K mud run, raising the most money out of 100 participating teams. Additionally, their team also raised $3,000 in a breast cancer 5K walk/run for one of their own, a flight attendant who is considered part of the Volo family.
